Project Nirmal Jal Pariyojna focuses on improving school infrastructure in two primary schools of Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh through implementation agency Haritika. Implementation of the project was centred around to avail continuous water facility in school, Roof-top Rainwater Harvesting, sensitising WASH system, improving sports facility and Hygiene Education among the students. Project also focused on the capacity building of respective stakeholders, such as School Administration and School Management Committees, to ensure effective implementation and the sustainability of the project. The overall objective of the project was to develop, test and successfully demonstrate a replicable model for hygiene education, water supply and environmental sanitation in the rural primary schools.
